Attending a university open day is a beneficial way for prospective students and their parents to gain a real insight into both the institution and its students’ way of life. But what happens when you are one of the thousands of foreign students looking to embark on a degree programme in the UK?

Syndicut worked on a fully responsive, customised, solution with Westminster University, creating a personalised, virtual open day accessible via the university’s website, to help tell the story of the university to those who are unable to visit in person. Built with a powerful CMS, the university is able to update all site content and add and remove courses and other information.

Using a mix of beautifully filmed, informative video, 3D tours, written information, testimonials and a social media feed, students can get a real feel for life at the university and discover key information about the courses they wish to study and the aspects of university life which are important to them personally, such as social life, sports and finance.

Prospective students are able to search up to three undergraduate or postgraduate subjects that they are interested in, in addition to an optional five extra areas of interest i.e. Fees and Funding, Student Accommodation etc… When a user chooses to view their tour they can skip between sections using the ‘Your Choices’ menu.  The site is integrated with Westminster’s CRM system, Azorus. When a user enters their information to save a tour these fields are passed to the CRM and the user is provided with a unique link for their saved tour.
