Creating a brand story and visual identity to reposition HIC as a centre point of the campus and UK innovation.
Situated on the 700 acre Harwell Campus, one of Europe’s most renowned science and technology campuses, Harwell Innovation Centre (HIC) provides office, co working spaces and a community for pioneering businesses in the science and technology sector.
We were selected to work with HIC on the creation of a new brand. This was a brand to replace the outdated brand they had, which didn’t reflect their offering and actively disconnected them with the innovative industry they are such a significant part of.
The HIC team had already done the groundwork to identify their key target audience and ideal brand positioning. We were able to work closely with them to further develop the research to create a brand story and visual identity that accurately represented HIC and placed them back as a centre point of the campus and UK innovation.
It was important that the new branding aligned HIC with the Harwell Campus visual identity, but still maintained its own individual style.
HIC’s beautiful new brand was not only used on collateral, but also rolled out to include the centre’s interior design, with the use of the strong brand colour pallette and bold typography.
The brand, supporting collateral, branded events and interiors enabled HIC to showcase the number of cutting edge companies that make up their customer list and continues to help prospective clients to understand their outstanding service offering.
